Caitlin Clark grew up wanting to be a Nike athlete. So when the shoe company offered the WNBA and Indiana Fever superstar a signature shoe line as part of an eight-year, $28 million deal following her senior season at Iowa, there was little doubt she’d be partnering them over adidas and Under Armor.
Now, following a year-and-a-half of planning, the Caitlin Clark signature shoe is nearing its launch.

“It's been one of the coolest things I've gotten to do,” Clark said during an appearance on the "New Heights" podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce.
“Everyone knows Nike makes the best product, it just takes a little bit longer."
In designing her shoe, Clark emphasized the importance of striking a balance between performance and comfortability, and of creating something unique from what’s on the market.
“I play in a lot of Kobes,” she said, “but at the same time, I want it to be something unique, something different.”
"I think for myself, I think about what's been important to me when I think about shoes and sneakers, I think about the chase-ability of them,” Clark continued. “You want a certain sneaker or you want a certain color way, so I think that's going to be the most fun part. You have the mold of the shoe and what it is and the technology that's in it, but more so, I'm more excited about making the certain color way or collaborating with certain brands or whatever it is."

Clark laughingly added she’ll have a Chiefs-color scheme (red-and-yellow) and joked that maybe they could get Kansas City coach Andy Reid to sport a pair on the sidelines.
With regards to the comfort aspects, Clark highlighted a desire to have “the technology” (padding, etc.) throughout the entire shoe and not just in the heel, as is the case with certain lines of Kobes.
“That’s been a huge part of the process and creation of the shoe is it being comfortable and exactly what I need,” she said. “The technology that we’re going to put into it is not like anything they’ve ever had in a basketball shoe before, so I’m really excited about that.”

Clark’s signature shoe will be released in 2026, along with a separate signature apparel collection. That collection will include shirts, pants, hoodies and shorts, along with special pieces in adult sizes only. She'll become the third active WNBA player to have a signature shoe, joining A'ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu.
Nike debuted Clark's signature logo Aug. 25. One day later, fans attending the Fever's game received Nike shirts with her logo on it.
