Two Notre Dame wide receivers enter transfer portal

Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receivers Leo Scheidler and Alex Whitman have both entered the transfer portal as graduate transfers.

Neither has had much impact at Notre Dame -- they have been depth players. Scheidler has played in 18 games in three seasons, with just two catches for 12 yards. Both receptions came in 2025. Scheidler also had one tackle at Boston College.

Whitman played in one game in 2025 -- against Syracuse -- and didn't register on the stat sheet.

Scheidler is a senior and Whitman a junior.
