Happy new year, everyone! We’re wishing the best to you and yours in 2026. May it bring joy and perhaps even a World Series for the New York Yankees.

As you could probably imagine, our New Year’s Day programming is limited, but we are introducing a new series for the new year! Every day in 2026 will feature a Yankees Birthday of the Day and one of our writers telling a story about a player, coach, manager, or executive from team history. I’ll have an introduction and Kevin will have our first post, which is about a player who you probably haven’t heard of: Charlie Devens. Remember, not every day has a super famous Yankees birthday, but that just adds to the author creativity! As you’ll see, Kevin did a great job.
