The Texas A&M Aggies are doing a great job of building out their future roster for the 2026 season through the transfer portal, getting commitments from some of the top players in the nation. They are also retaining some important players, as well, one of whom announced his re-signing on Monday afternoon.
According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, redshirt sophomore cornerback Dezz Ricks will re-sign with the Aggies for the 2026 season and return to College Station, where he will be one of the top defensive backs on the roster.

Ricks had 26 tackles and one tackle for loss in 2025 with the Aggies, plus six PBUs on the season. After redshirting as a freshman with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2023, Ricks has spent the past two seasons with Texas A&M.
Ricks' return for 2026 is important for the Aggies, especially considering teammate Will Lee III will be declaring for the 2026 NFL draft. Lee had 50 tackles, two TFL, and one sack this season with the Aggies, plus four interceptions in his three-year college career.
