During the Tennessee Titans' Week 18 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, rookie quarterback Cam Ward left the game with a shoulder injury. The injury came on the Titans' sole touchdown drive of the game, one that was executed efficiently and effectively. Unfortunately, when Ward ran the ball in for a touchdown, he landed hard on his right shoulder.
After speaking with doctors on Monday, the Titans announced that Ward suffered an AC joint sprain and he will not need offseason surgery.
Coming into Week 18, Ward was the only quarterback to have played every single offensive snap for his team. And if the commentators hadn't said a word about it, maybe Ward wouldn't have gotten hurt at all. The old media curse is rearing its head again. But this is the absolute best-case scenario for the Titans.

On that one touchdown drive, the Titans' first drive of the game, Ward went 3-for-3 for 52 yards and rushed twice for 11 yards, including the seven-yard touchdown run. His return was initially listed as questionable, and he was later downgraded to out with the injury.
Luckily for Ward and the Titans, it's officially the offseason, so he can rest, do physical therapy, and let his shoulder heal before OTAs start in a few months.
