You can't teach an old dog new tricks, and you apparently can't get Aaron Rodgers to trust his Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers fast enough — at least that's what NBC's Mike Florio believes.
On Monday's episode of PFT Live, Florio and Chris Simms criticized Rodgers for placing his trust in veteransl who have clearly lost a step, over younger, more talented wideouts.

“This weird thing with guys he trusts," Florio said about Rodgers. "...Why can’t you trust guys faster? Why does it need to be somebody you spent years with? Why can’t you warm up to somebody? Are you that mistrusting of everyone that it's only people that have proven themselves to you, over time, through thick and thin, that you're not willing to take that leap with a stranger? It’s just weird to me that he clings to relationships with guys who’s skills aren’t what they used to be.”
Florio and Simms criticized Rodgers for targeting aging wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling three plays in a row to end the game, when he was matched up against All-Pro cornerback Denzel Ward.
Rodgers has shown year in and year out that he favors his own trusted wideouts over in-house pass catchers, but he'll have no choice but to break that habit as the Steelers head into a must-win Week 18 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens without DK Metcalf for the second-straight game.
