Alessio Milivojevic seems to have made it clear that he'll be back for another season at Michigan State.
The top returning Spartans quarterback took to social media on Wednesday to once again confirm his intentions of a return to Michigan State for his sophomore season. Milivojevic posted a simple message on social media platform X that suggests he'll be back in 2026: "Go Green! #SD4L".

Earlier this month, Milivojevic posted a similar message that had many (including myself) expecting him to be back for the 2026 season. However, that was announced prior to any offensive coaching staff hires -- notably Nick Sheridan as the offensive coordinator and Mike Bajakian as the quarterbacks coach. Those coaching staff hires certainly could have changed his initial thoughts and plans at Michigan State, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
Milivojevic took over as the Spartans' starting quarterback for the final four games of the season, bringing a spark to the Michigan State offense. He finished this season passing for 1,267 yards, 10 touchdowns to three interceptions. He finished the season with his best game of the year, throwing for just under 300 yards and four touchdowns to lead Michigan State to a win over Maryland.

With Aidan Chiles hitting the transfer portal, Milivojevic will enter next season as the Spartans top returning quarterback and most likely in line for the starting spot. Michigan State could, of course, add another quarterback via the transfer portal to bolster the competition. But if they don't, I'd expect Milivojevic to be the Spartans' starter for the season-opener next fall against Toledo.
