SELKIRK — Landen Gadway picked up the 100th win of his varsity wrestling career over the weekend to lead the Saranac wrestling team to a third-place finish in the Jamie Mormile Tournament.
Hoosick Falls finished first in the 25-team field with 178.5 points, followed by Arlington in second with 162.5 and Saranac third with 152.5.

Gadway placed second at 175 pounds with a 3-1 record, while Colby Roesler was second at 126 (4-1) and Antoine Young second at 285 (3-1).
Branigan Boulds was third at 165 (3-1) and Alexander Mehrman third at 157 (3-1), while Teegan Smith placed fourth at 144 (2-2).
“We had a good day at the tournament and wrestled well,” Saranac coach Heath Smith said. “The biggest accomplishment of the day was at 175 pounds, with Landen Gadway receiving his 100th win of his career.
“We wrestled well against tough competition all day.”

EAGLES IN DUAL TOURNEY
WARRENSBURG — The Beekmantown wrestling team competed in the Warrensburg Duals over the weekend and finished the event with a 4-1 record.
The Eagles defeated Ichabod Crane (66-10), Hudson Falls (49-30), Fair Haven (54-24) and Warrensburg (45-27) and lost to Adirondack (45-36).

Finishing with 5-0 records for Beekmantown were Mark Spooner (103 pounds) and Mason Facteau (124).
Chase Devins (131), Jose Susano-Trujano (165), Tristan Manney (175) and Landon Lahart (215) were all 4-1.
