The New York Giants are on the hunt for a new head coach, and the Baltimore Ravens are headed home for the offseason. That could potentially mean a change of scenery for John Harbaugh.
After falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, Harbaugh and the Ravens were eliminated from the playoffs, putting his job in peril. There has been rumor and speculation for weeks that should Baltimore fall short this season, there may be a mutually agreed-upon divorce.

As of Monday morning -- Black Monday -- Harbaugh remains employed, but things could change on a dime. And if they do, the Giants are likely to come calling.
Ian O'Connor of The Athletic reports that the Giants have already had "internal conversations" about Harbaugh should he shake loose. He also notes that while they're likely to have interest in the recently-fired Kevin Stefanski, Harbaugh would be viewed as the more ideal candidate.
Harbaugh, a Super Bowl-winning head coach, has held his post with the Ravens since 2008, second only to Mike Tomlin with the Steelers. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.

If a Harbaugh departure becomes a reality early in 2026, the Giants are likely to pounce. Then it will be on Harbaugh to decide if he wants to take a year off and do television, take over the Giants, or something else entirely.
