Ravens release OL ahead of Steelers game after three-game suspension

1 week ago 2

The Baltimore Ravens have made a surprising decision leading up to their Week 18 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, parting ways with an offensive lineman who just returned from suspension.

Days from their Week 18 game in Pittsburgh, the Ravens waived guard Ben Cleveland, who was suspended the past three games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Selected by Baltimore with the 94th overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Cleveland has appeared in 64 games for the Ravens primarily as a depth contributor, while also seeing time on special teams.

Without Cleveland, the Ravens will depend on interior offensive linemen Emery Jones and Corey Bullock as backups against the Steelers in what is shaping up to be an exciting regular-season finale this Sunday.
