The Baltimore Ravens entered the 2025 NFL season as Super Bowl favorites.

They won't even be in the playoff bracket.

Changes could be coming after an incredibly disappointing season, even if they aren't the gigantic ones some have speculated about.

Is Lamar Jackson going to be traded? Probably not.

Is John Harbaugh going to be fired? Probably not.

But beyond them, things might get shaken up. That includes with Marlon Humphrey.

The one-time playmaking cornerback has regressed. ESPN's Ben Solak thinks his days might be done in Baltimore.

"The Ravens will part ways with cornerback Marlon Humphrey, whether via trade or just as an outright cut," Solak wrote on Monday. "Humphrey has been one of the most targeted -- and least successful -- cornerbacks deep downfield this season. He would hit the Ravens' cap for nearly $20 million in 2026, the final year of his current deal."

Cornerback is one of those positions where teams can't afford to take shortcuts. It's too important in the modern NFL.

Humphrey hasn't been good enough to justify his cost. The Ravens want to bounce back in 2026, and to do so, they'll need to have improvements across the board.

If Humphrey is still getting major playing time next fall, it'll hold Baltimore back. And so that's why Solak's reasoning makes sense. The Ravens have to be better on the perimeter.
