Raheem Morris to interview for AFC head coaching vacancy, per report

The Atlanta Falcons surprised many around the league when they fired head coach Raheem Morris on Sunday evening. Despite ending the season on a four-game winning streak, Morris was let go shortly after the team's victory over the New Orleans Saints in the season finale.

Less than 24 hours later, Morris has already secured a job interview. According to a report from ESPN's Peter Schrager, the Tennessee Titans are set to interview Morris for their head coaching vacancy later this week. The former Falcons coach went 16-18 during his two seasons in Atlanta.

The Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan early in the 2025 season and are looking for the right leader to take over a roster that features former No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward. Morris' experience could make him a good fit if Tennessee goes in that direction.

Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot met with the Falcons players one last time on Monday morning and had an emotional sendoff, according to the players in attendance.

"Tears were shed," Falcons long snapper Liam McCullough told ESPN's Marc Raimondi of his final meeting with Morris.

Atlanta has two big vacancies to fill, but the team has already started putting in interview requests. The Falcons have reportedly requested meetings with Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.

The Falcons will also meet with freshly fired former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
