When a Hall of Famer speaks, you better listen. Denver Broncos legend John Elway sees similarities between the 2025 Bo Nix-led Broncos and the 2015 Peyton Manning-led Super Bowl-winning team.
"Super Bowl 50, we were so good on the defensive side, and I think we were 19th in the league on offense, but the one key factor we had there was the Peyton Manning factor," Elway said during a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show. "Anytime he was on the field, everybody thought we could win a football game."

Elway then pivoted to speak about the 2025 team led by quarterback Bo Nix, and he had high praise for the second-year starter.
"(The 2025 team) is still playing great defense, and I think the offense has come a long way," Elway said. "I think Bo has gotten better week in and week out. He's still young, he'll make mistakes, but I think he's got the potential to become great in this league for a long time."
Elway then made a prediction for the postseason hopes of the Broncos faithful: "I think this team's probably a little more well-rounded than we were (in 2015)."
Broncos fans hope that is the case, but they will first have to secure the AFC's top seed in order to keep the path to Santa Clara running through the Mile High City.
Here is the full version of Elway's comments to Eisen. You can view the entire four-minute exchange below:
