Did Jaylen Brown just get robbed for Player of the Month by the NBA? The Boston Celtics star has been playing like a true Most Valuable Player candidate so far in the 2025-26 regular season, and perhaps even more so in the month of December. The Georgia native tied Hall of Fame Boston icon Larry Bird for the most consecutive 30-point contests in a single month in that stretch, and won the league's player of the week award for the Eastern Conference in two of the three available weeks, and somehow lost the month award to New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
Is there really a case for Brunson to get the nod for this award over Brown? Is there something fishy going on with how the Player of the Month award is decided by the league?
