The Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team opened up Big 12 Conference play on the road against Arizona State and came away with an impressive 95-89 win.
The win was CU's first Big 12 road win since rejoining the conference last year. Guard Barrington Hargress scored 17 points in the first half, and Isaiah Johnson chipped in 1,9, including nine of Colorado's final 13 points, to give the Buffs the edge over the Sun Devils.

Head coach Tad Boyle said after the game that the win showed what his team is made of.
"Shows they got grit, they got gumption, they got toughness," Boyle said when asked about winning on the road. "I thought we made some really big plays down the stretch. Now we didn't make enough of them, you got to continue to learn, especially with a young team like this. You have to learn every single day in practice, you have to learn every single game."
Forward Sebastian Rancik continued his stellar scoring, posting 18 points and going 12-for-14 from the free throw line. Center Bangot Dak added 10 rebounds to go along with his 12 points for his third-career double-double.
The difference in the game came at the charity stripe, where the Buffs shot a whopping 38 free throws compared to the Sun Devils' 27 attempts.
