INDIANAPOLIS — Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon had several long meetings with general manager Chris Ballard before the team’s season finale against Houston, Ballard said Thursday.
Three or four meetings, in Ballard’s estimation, at a couple of hours apiece.

Irsay-Gordon and Ballard talked about a lot of different things, but what she was trying to learn came down to one critical question.
“Do you still have your juju to do this?” Ballard remembers Irsay-Gordon asking. “It’s a fair question. … It guts me when things don’t go right. I told her unequivocally, I haven’t lost my shimmer, juju, my confidence. Even with all the struggles we’ve been through, I think we can get this team to a place where the city is part of it.”
