Following Mike Tomlin’s shocking resignation from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, three of the four head coaching jobs in the AFC North are up for grabs. The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns both have openings as well after parting ways with John Harbaugh and Kevin Stefanski last week, respectively.
Tomlin’s coached against both organizations for 19 years, so he knows them well. If he wants to stay close and remain in the AFC North, joining either team is definitely a possibility.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti shared his thoughts on Tomlin potentially replacing Harbaugh.
“Holy (expletive), wouldn’t that be awesome?” Bisciotti said, drawing big laughs from the crowd. “Only if John takes the Pittsburgh job. Wow. Wouldn’t that be interesting?…I love Mike. I’ve admired Mike for 18 years…That’s kind of crazy.”
It would be wild if Tomlin ends up joining Baltimore after two decades of coaching against them, especially after breaking their hearts in Week 18 and essentially getting Harbaugh fired.

The Ravens are probably the most desirable head coaching job available right now, and Tomlin is one of the top candidates along with Harbaugh. It could be a good fit for both sides.
Tomlin just hit the market, so time will tell where he interviews and wants to go, if anywhere. Baltimore already interviewed several candidates last week, but perhaps it will pivot to Tomlin now that he’s available.
