Alabama basketball's Aiden Sherrell isn't a guarantee to play in the Crimson Tide's first conference game on the road at Vanderbilt.
Coach Nate Oats said on the Crimson Tide Sports Network's "Hey Coach" show that the forward-turned-starting center will be a "true game-time decision."

"Aiden didn't practice today," Oats said on Monday, January 5.

Sherrell left the 89-74 win over Kentucky with an apparent right leg injury late in the first half. He walked off on his own power, but went to the locker room with trainer Clarke Holter and was announced as questionable to return for the second half by the ESPN broadcast team.
Oats clarified after the game that injury was to Sherrell's knee, but that training staff didn't believe it was "anything serious."
"I don't know that he'll practice tomorrow, but he's in rehab and hopefully he keeps coming," Oats said.

A breakout game for Bucknell transfer center Noah Williamson was more than timely with the No. 10 Commodores on deck.
"If he [Sherrell] can't go on Wednesday against Vandy, we're going to have to have Noah step up and play great for us," Oats said.
Alabama and Vanderbilt tip off at 8 p.m. CT Wednesday at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee.
