Wizards rookie Will Riley drops second 30-point game in the G League

Washington Wizards rookie Will Riley registered another 30-point effort in the G League on Wednesday, leading the Capital City Go-Go to a win over the Motor City Cruise.

Riley finished with 33 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in the 112-104 victory at the CareFirst Arena. He shot 10-of-21 from the field, including 2-of-6 from 3-point range, and was a team-high plus-18 in 29 minutes of work.

The 21st pick in the 2025 NBA draft tallied 18 points in the fourth quarter alone to help the Go-Go improve to 4-2 in the regular season. He showed his aggression in the period, getting downhill and drawing contact, going 9-of-10 at the free-throw line.

Riley is averaging 4.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 42.6% shooting from the field in 29 games with the Wizards. He played sparingly to begin the season, but he had appeared in 16 straight games before the team assigned him to the Go-Go on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old logged his fourth appearance with the Go-Go, averaging 27.8 points, 4.3 assists and four rebounds while shooting 40.9% from 3-point range. He produced a G League-high 36 points on Nov. 30 in a loss to the Greensboro Swarm.

Riley has drawn praise from the team throughout the season thanks to his energy and intensity on the court. He will look to carry his momentum from the G League over to the Wizards and be ready to contribute when his number is called next.
