Wisconsin landed a commitment from Kansas transfer linebacker Jon Jon Kamara on Sunday.
Kamara entered the portal last week after two years with the Jayhawks. He originally joined the program as a three-star recruit in the class of 2024, ranked specifically as the No. 1,266 player, the No. 111 linebacker and the No. 25 player from Arizona in the class. Kamara appeared in 16 games over two seasons with the program, 12 of which as a redshirt freshman in 2025. The linebacker totaled 13 tackles, 1 1/2 for loss and 1/2 sacks during that time.

Kamara joins the Badgers with three years of eligibility remaining. He's specifically ranked as 247Sports' No. 294 overall player and No. 20 linebacker in the portal.
The former Jayhawk will join a Wisconsin inside linebacker room headlined by rising sophomores Mason Posa and Cooper Catalano. Kamara brings experience and a high ceiling as just a redshirt sophomore. He'll have a great chance to see the field immediately, whether in relief of the team's starters or as a third linebacker.
Wisconsin has been busy in the portal to date. Expect those efforts to continue throughout the month, as Luke Fickell works to reshape his roster entering a pivotal 2026 campaign.
