As we close out the NFL's Wild-Card weekend on Monday Night, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be taking on the Houston Texans in primetime. Afterwards, regardless of the outcome, many NFL officials and fans will wonder if the "Enigma" will return for the 2026 season, in what would be his 22nd. Rodgers has stated before this season that 2025 would be his last, but according to reports, Rodgers has turned back the clock mentally and is having fun playing again.
NFL Network's insider Ian Rapoport has reported that Rodgers would be "more than open" to continue playing quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers has also made it clear that he is on a one-year deal and would have options if he intends to play.

The Pittsburgh Steelers started the season 4-1, but hit a few rough patches down the stretch. Either way, the wily veteran Rodgers helped guide the Steelers to the postseason by leading them to the AFC North Title (their first since 2020). In the season, he would throw for 3,322 yards, and have 24 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions.
Things weren't always puppies and sunshine dust while navigating the season, as Rodgers would deal with injuries, his number one target D.K. Metcalf would be sidelined for a while, injured, but the Steelers would find a run game with Jaylen Warren acting as an all-pro workhorse back carrying the load through the dark times.
All of this can be hashed out after the final whistle blows, but first, Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers have a mighty test ahead with the Houston Texans coming to town, and a ferocious defense that will attempt to force turnovers and disrupt his timing.
