How damaging was Louisville basketball's loss at Stanford to end last week's 1-1 trip to the West Coast?
Pat Kelsey's Cardinals (11-3, 1-1 ACC) fell from 13th to 18th in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released Monday.

Up next for UofL: a 7 p.m. tipoff Tuesday against reigning ACC champion Duke (13-1, 2-0) at the KFC Yum! Center. The No. 6 Blue Devils began conference play with wins over Georgia Tech on New Year's Eve, 85-79, and Florida State on Jan. 3, 91-87.
Kelsey has already ruled out freshman point guard Mikel Brown Jr. for Tuesday's game as the projected lottery pick in the 2026 NBA Draft continues to work through a lower back injury.
This will be the first of two matchups between Louisville and Duke this month. The teams will meet again Jan. 26 inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
This story will be updated following the release of the AP Top 25.
