Where do best teams in state land? Update to high school basketball Super 25

1 week ago 2

We have two days off of high school basketball before the next – and final – round of holiday tournaments this weekend. A good time to reset the IndyStar Super 25 power poll, which considers teams from all parts of the state and in any class. The new rankings with a look at each team’s best win to date:

1: Fishers (7-0): The Tigers are 2-0 since losing junior guard Jason Gardner Jr. to a broken bone in his left hand, defeating Shortridge (64-62) and Parke Heritage (60-38). Fishers hosts its tournament this weekend, opening up with Fort Wayne Wayne (3-2) on Friday morning. Best win: Tough choice but a 57-48 win over Mt. Vernon at the Sneakers for Santa Shootout was an outstanding defensive effort and a season-low in points for the Marauders. Previous: 1.
