After a tough loss on the road to Nebraska, in front of a fired-up, alumni Izzone crowd, against a team that beat MSU last year, Michigan State basketball's blowout win on Monday against USC made for a nice night for the program. After the game, Tom Izzo was extremely pleased with his team, understandably.
Below, you can see what Izzo had to say about a fun night in East Lansing:

"I felt for Eric, I was on a trip last year... sometimes you go on these trips, they looked a little tired earlier... But give my guys credit, we got back to playing some defense, they pushed the ball a little better, Jeremy did a nice job of that, and we made some shots."
"That was a big deal for Coen Carr, because that was almost embarrassing what he went through early. And instead of getting down on it, I told him, 'Just back them in.' Then, once he got his rhythm, he got to the line a little bit, had some offensive rebounds, hit a three late... I love Coen, Coen's gonna be fine."
On Jaxon Kohler: "Well, he's gotten better, as you know. He's gotten better with his rebounding, he's gotten better with his shooting. He's got some post moves, and Jeremy did a great job of getting him some feeds, by pushing the ball it gave Jaxon some openings."
