Voting for the Leaf-Chronicle's girls athlete of the week is open from now until Thursday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. Due to the holiday break, this week's poll takes the last two weeks into account.

Previous winners are Rossview's Ellie Hankemeier, Clarksville's Shakiah Vance, Stewart County's Faith Dacus, Northeast's Carmen Johnson and Clarksville Academy's Sicily Robinson.
Candidates are eligible if they have not been nominated in the previous two weeks.

Taelyn Atkinson, Rossview wrestling: Placed first in the 165-pound weight class at the Maher/Garstin Battle for Indy. Went 5-0 and won three matches by first-period pin.

Maddie Brooks, Houston County basketball: Totaled 16 points, three rebounds, two steals and two assists in a 65-53 loss at Clarksville Academy.
Faith Dacus, Stewart County basketball: Scored in double figures in each game of the Stewart County Invitational as the Rebels went 2-1. Had 17 points in a 45-36 win over Northwest, 15 points in a 50-45 loss to Clarksville Academy and 14 points on four threes in a 58-45 win over McEwen.
Ellie Hankemeier, Rossview basketball: Averaged 18 points, 16 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks in three games at the Stewart County Christmas Tournament. Had 21 points and 16 boards in a 36-34 win over Northwest.
Lauren Hassell, Clarksville Christian basketball: Averaged 24 points, 15.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks in four games over the break. Had 37 points, 15 boards and two steals in a 61-36 win over Huntington Prep (West Virginia).

Channing Jones, Kirkwood basketball: Had 20 points, five steals, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in a 46-38 win over White House Heritage.
Audrey Levendusky, Montgomery Central wrestling: Continued her undefeated season by placing first at 152 pounds at the Maryville Lady Rebel Invitational, pinning all four of her opponents in the first period. Helped Central claim the team title by 57.5 points.
Ella McKeown, Kirkwood wrestling: Placed first in the 100-pound weight class at the Battle for Indy, winning all five of her matches by pin including three within the first 30 seconds.
Angel Robles, Clarksville wrestling: Took first place at 120 pounds at the Red Hawk Rampage, winning all four of her matches by pin. Helped the Wildcats take first place by a 114-point margin, as all 12 wrestlers finished on the podium and six claimed titles in their respective weight class.

Anjolina Rosario, Northwest wrestling: Placed first at 235 pounds at the Red Hawk Rampage, winning all three of her matches by pin in the first period.
Rianna Rourk, Northeast basketball: Put up 20 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and nine blocks in a 61-32 loss to Bullitt County (Kentucky). Had 10 points, seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks in a 76-26 loss to Oldham County (Kentucky).
Gabrielle Taylor, Northwest basketball: Totaled 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, five steals and two blocks in a 47-43 win over Paducah Tilghman (Kentucky).
Camille Thomas, Clarksville Academy basketball: Averaged 12.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals as the Cougars went 4-1 over the break. Had two double-doubles, including 25 points and 11 rebounds against Houston County.
