Voting for the Leaf-Chronicle's boys athlete of the week is open from now until Thursday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. Due to the holiday break, this week's poll takes the last two weeks into account.

Previous winners are Houston County's Ryan Carter, Rossview's Israel Dillard, Stewart County's Kyrick Wallace, Stewart County's Anthony Bisogno and Kirkwood's Aaron Hines.
Candidates are eligible if they have not been nominated in the previous two weeks.

Kameron Bowers, West Creek basketball: Totaled 28 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and five 3-pointers in a 65-59 loss to Westview. Had 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in a 76-71 win over Lausanne. Scored 17 points in a 57-34 loss to Christian Brothers.

Townes Epps, Houston County basketball: Scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 71-54 loss to Rossville Christian.
Kyre Ferguson, Fort Campbell basketball: Had 26 points and two rebounds in a 67-56 loss to Community Christian. Scored 18 points in a 72-55 loss at Caldwell County.
Aiden Hansel, Northwest wrestling: Placed first at 132 pounds at the Red Hawk Rampage. Went 4-0 with one pin, two technical falls and a win by major decision, to total 28.5 team points.
JaRohn Johnson, Clarksville Academy basketball: Scored 28 points in a 62-60 loss to Rossville Christian. Had 19 points and nine rebounds in a 54-44 loss to Warren County. Had 17 points, five rebounds and two steals in a 54-48 loss to Lawson. Scored 13 points and grabbed five boards in a 73-31 win over Cheatham County.

Tamarion Johnson, Montgomery Central wrestling: Won the title at 150 pounds at the Maryville Invitational, going 5-0 with two pins and accumulating 27.5 team points. Helped Central place third out of 21 teams.
Braylon Jones, Northeast basketball: Had 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 78-68 win over Owensboro (Kentucky). Averaged 17 points in three games over the break.
Jayden Perry, Fort Campbell wrestling: Took first place in the 138-pound class at the Christian County Invitational, pinning all three of his opponents.
JiYair Rose, Rossview basketball: Averaged 25.3 points as the Hawks went 2-1 at the Stewart County Tournament, including 32 in a 59-50 loss to Perry County. Had 19 points, four assists, four rebounds and six steals in a 63-30 win over McEwen to become the eighth player in program history to score 1,000 points.

Jacquez Scott, Northwest basketball: Scored 20 points in a 74-51 win over Martin Luther King Magnet.
Armani Smith, Kirkwood basketball: Totaled 33 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and three steals in a 97-60 win over Cane Ridge. Had 28 points, six rebounds and four steals in a 67-48 loss at Battle Ground Academy and 21 points, eight boards and two assists in a 77-53 loss to Pope John Paul II.
Kyrick Wallace, Stewart County basketball: Had 20 points, six rebounds and three steals in a 62-37 win over Trigg County (Kentucky). Had 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 70-49 loss to Perry County.
Montgomery Wydra, Kirkwood wrestling: Placed first at the Red Hawk Rampage at 126 pounds. Won all four of his matches, including two pins and a technical fall, and totaled 27.5 team points as the Cobras won the team title.
