Cresswell is a product of the Leeds United academy and played a hand-full of first team appearances for them between 2020 and 2024.

Inbetween was a spell on loan at Millwall, before the 23-year-old switched to Toulouse in 2024.

Cresswell has played 17 times for the French club this season, scoring on three occasions. His efforts have also led to six England U21 caps this campaign. Cresswell was apart of the England U21 side that won this summer’s European Championships.

As per transfermarkt, Cresswell’s current market value is €15m.

Wolfsburg have been searching for an additional defender this winter and had several names on their list.

Previously, they were scouting Brentford’s Kristoffer Ajer but did not get clearance to hold talks. What’s more, there are currently no developments regarding Union Berlin defender Danilho Doekhi, who is free to talk to other clubs as his contract runs out this summer.
