Tracking Auburn football's transfer portal entries

The transfer portal is open from Friday, Jan. 2, until Friday, Jan. 16, and Auburn is expected to be one of the busier teams in the cycle as many position groups need to be filled.

Auburn is expected to lose over 30 players from the 2025 roster to either the transfer portal, NFL draft, or graduation. Alex Golesh and his coaching staff received good news on New Year's Day as a quartet of defensive players announced their plans to return to the roster, including linebackers Demarcus Riddick and Elijah Melendez. The bunch joins Xavier Atkins in publicly announcing their plans to return to the Plains for the 2026 season.

While the news of returns is exciting, Auburn will still need to fill major gaps ahead of the 2026 season. So far, Auburn will need to rebuild its quarterback room, wide receiver room, offensive line, defensive line, and defensive backfield.
