Pressure is growing around Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani, currently on loan at Torino, after the Granata’s sporting director Gianluca Petrachi openly questioned the player’s impact ahead of the January transfer window.
Speaking to Sky Sport, via FCInterNews, Torino director Petrachi confirmed that significant squad changes are being considered mid-season.

Indeed, with exits required before any new arrivals can be finalised.
He explained that Torino’s squad size is already causing problems, stressing that movement in the market is inevitable.
“We are trying to change something,” Petrachi said, outlining the club’s approach.
“With the 3-5-2 system we need players who are functional. We have around 30 players under contract, with some not even registered. That’s penalising, to bring one in, someone else has to go.”

Within that framework, Asllani’s situation has come into focus.
When asked directly about the Inter-owned midfielder, Petrachi made his expectations clear.
Indeed, insisting that more is required from the Albania international.
“You hear everything during the transfer window,” he admitted, before adding pointedly.
“But we certainly expect much more from Asllani. He’s an important player and he has to show on the pitch that he can be a starter.”
Therefore, Petrachi went on to underline that minutes must be earned, not assumed.
“Today he’s on the bench. We hope he can return to being a regular,” he said.
“That applies to him and to many others. What’s needed is that healthy aggression, the hunger I demand from all the players.”
