Have you ever played that 'Never Have I Ever' game? If not, don't sweat it. The buzz wears off after one or two rounds, but this seems like a nice opportunity to play. Never have we ever heard a trade rumor that the Philadelphia Eagles weren't part of.
Some of that is because fans and media members are addicted to envisioning disgruntled players in their favorite teams' jerseys. Philadelphia is home to the NFL's most aggressive general manager.

Most trade rumors work similarly. Smoke typically won't lead us to fire, but the reports are always pretty consistent.
The Eagles are always at the negotiating table, even if they elect to pull out at the 11th hour. Something is going on in Sin City, though, so it seems feasible that a once-dead rumor mill will begin to churn again.
Cue the Maxx Crosby conversations in Eagles Nation again.
We know... We know... You get sick of hearing about this kind of stuff, but come on. Give us all a break. This is Maxx Crosby. Can you imagine how great life would be if he found his way to the City of Brotherly Love?

If you're new to this, or you've been living under a rock, here's what you have been missing. Those of you who are 21 years old are younger and have no clue about how big a deal the now-Las Vegas Raiders used to be when they were in Oakland, Los Angeles, and then in Oakland, California again.
Philadelphia lost its first Super Bowl to the Raiders (XV). Then, they came within a game of playing them on the biggest stage again (XXXVII). The Eagles have appeared in four Super Bowls since then, winning two, while the Raiders have fallen on hard times.
Maxx Crosby has been the good soldier. He was drafted by the Raiders in 2019. It's hard to believe, as good as he is now, that he was selected in the fourth round.
Anyway, things have soured since he and the Raiders filled out a change-of-address form and moved to Vegas. They recently informed him that they were shutting him down for the remainder of the season. With Crosby being the competitor that he is, that didn't go well. So, he left the team facility. As you'd expect, he's now rumored to be a possible offseason trade piece.
It seems impossible that he'd be an Eagle. Have you seen his price tag? Can you imagine what the Raiders would ask any interested team for in exchange for his services? Landing him would require multiple draft picks. He's also a salary-cap behemoth.

He signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension on March 5th. His deal comes with $91.5 million in guaranteed money and an average salary of $35.5 million per year. Upon signing, his number made him the NFL's highest-paid non-quarterback at the time.
The team that lands him gets one of the NFL's top pass rushers. That isn't debatable, but we all keep staring at that cap number. That almost makes this an impossible move for Philadelphia to pull off.
Then again, that thought leads to another. The Eagles are home to the game's top general manager, one Howie Roseman. If anyone can figure out the numbers and particulars, it would certainly be him.
We repeat. Smoke rarely leads to fire in these situations, but again, it's Maxx Crosby. Go ahead. Try to convince us that you aren't slightly interested.
