Texas A&M will officially host LSU transfer OL on Monday

1 week ago 2

Texas A&M's future offensive line will feature several new faces, likely including at least two additions from the transfer portal, as left tackle Trey Zuhn, right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, Dametreous Crownover, and Reuben Fatheree will all depart, and are all predicted to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.

With these losses, head coach Mike Elko and offensive line coach Adam Cushing will look to elevate younger members of the roster, including tackles Lamont Rogers and Robert Bourdon, and guards Ashton Funk and Blake Ivy, who will all contend for potential starting or key rotational roles next season. Still, it's always a risk to elevate inexperienced offensive linemen to starting spots simply due to losses, making it vital to add veterans from the portal.

This week, it was revealed that LSU transfer left tackle Tyree Adams was at least interested in visiting the Aggies heading into the new year. While a visit was confirmed this week, a date has now been given, as the 6'7" sophomore would more than likely replace Trey Zuhn at left tackle next season, preventing little to no drop-off at one of the more critical positions.

According to Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman, Texas A&M will host Adams on Monday, January 5, after visiting Kentucky on Saturday. Adams is already an established pass protector, and would allow players like Lamont Rogers to continue developing, and allow starting quarterback Marcel Reed more room to maneuver in the pocket.
