Texas A&M will host Baylor transfer RB on Wednesday

Texas A&M's 2026 running back room will feature Rueben Owens, Jamarion Morrow, Deondre "Tiger" Riden, and incoming freshmen backs KJ Edwards and Carsyn Baker, which, on paper, looks like a solid rotation. However, knowing that star senior Le'Veon Moss has officially departed amid his injury-derailed season, head coach Mike Elko is looking to add at least one more experienced back.

Last week, it was reported that Elko and his staff were interested in hosting Washington transfer running back Adam Mohammed. Still, on Tuesday, several sources revealed that the sophomore had changed his mind, canceling his visit to College Station, and just hours later, committed to Cal, where he will join former Texas A&M edge Solomon Williams.

However, this isn't all bad news for the Aggies, as it was revealed first by AggieYell's Jaxson Callaway, and further confirmed by GigEm247's Carter Karels, that Baylor transfer running back Bryson Washington, who has been heavily connected to Texas A&M over the last couple of days, will make his way to College Station on Wednesday morning.

A Texas native, Washington reportedly wants to stay close to home. Washington would immediately contend for the starting running back job, or at least the No. 2 spot, after rushing for 788 yards and six touchdowns during the 2025 season, averaging 5.1 yards per carry.
