The Texas A&M Aggies have made a major addition along the offensive line, landing LSU transfer Coen Echols. The Katy, Texas native spent two seasons with the Tigers and emerged as a starter in 2025.
Echols played in all 13 of LSU's games last year, starting the final eight at left guard. While he played in five games as a true freshman, the fifth game was their bowl game, allowing him to redshirt.

He brings experience and youth to Texas A&M's offensive line room, having played 699 snaps, but still has three seasons of eligibility remaining. According to PFF, he has allowed just 2.0 sacks and 13 pressures in 438 pass-blocking snaps.
He is familiar with the Aggies; not only is he from Texas, but he was actually committed to them as a high school prospect before flipping to LSU. He was a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 256 overall player and No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports composite.
Echols is the fifth transfer that Mike Elko and Texas A&M have landed and the second on offense. He joins tight end Houston Thomas, linebacker Ray Coney, safety Tawfiq Byard, and long snapper Shea Freibaum. Echols is ranked as the No. 247 overall player and No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal by 247Sports.
