Tennessee Titans hold No. 4 overall pick: Recent draft history at that position

4 days ago 1

The Tennessee Titans entered the offseason holding the fourth pick in the 2026 NFL draft, and could go in many different directions with that selection.

Tennessee has significant needs across its roster, especially at cornerback, edge, and wide receiver, and should be able to land one of the top prospects with that spot, but what direction they take is unknown this early in the pre-draft process. In fact, it's quite likely the Titans could land the top player at their position with that selection.

At this point, names such as Arvell Reese, Reuben Bain Jr., and wide receiver Carnell Tate have all been connected to that spot, but we still have a long way to go until we know how things shake out. Ironically, Tennessee has never picked fourth, but we can look back at history to see what kind of players Titans fans can expect to see roaming the sidelines next season that were drafted with the fourth pick.

Here is a list of players selected fourth overall since the 2010 NFL draft:

2025 - New England Patriots - OT Will Campbell

Campbell came in and helped solidify the offensive line for the resurgent Patriots under first-year head coach Mike Vrabel. The top offensive lineman in the class, he’s had an up-and-down rookie season, but has flashed the potential to be a standout in the league.

2024 - Arizona Cardinals - WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Arguably the top wide receiver in the class, Harrison has been inconsistent since entering the league, but has flashed the talent to be a dominant force in the league.

2023 - Indianapolis Colts - QB Anthony Richardson

A raw prospect coming into the league, Richardson has struggled on the field and with injuries throughout his career. In 2025, he was beaten out by Daniel Jones, and his career was at a crossroads. Full of athletic ability, his lack of experience under center was an issue once he entered the NFL.

2022 - New York Jets - CB Sauce Gardner

Gardner, now with the Colts, is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL and a shut-down force on the outside. He was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in his first season with the Jets.

2021 - Atlanta Falcons - TE Kyle Pitts

Pitts has had a solid NFL career since entering the league, but has not lived up to the expectations set for him during the pre-draft process. It's not all on him, as the Falcons have struggled to find consistency at the quarterback position for most of his career, and that could have had an impact.

2020 - New York Giants - OT Andrew Thomas

When healthy, Thomas has been a force for the Giants since entering the league. Unfortunately, he has consistently battled injuries throughout his career, keeping him from exceeding expectations.

2019 - Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders - DL Clelin Ferrell

By all accounts, Ferrell was a surprise pick by the Raiders when they took him fourth overall. Never an impact player, he has carved out a role as a rotational edge player and made an impact in the league.

2018 - Cleveland Browns - CB Denzel Ward

Ward came in with high expectations and has exceeded those in Cleveland. The dynamic cornerback is a multi-time Pro Bowler and has developed into one of the top cover cornerbacks in the league.

2017 - Jacksonville Jaguars - RB Leonard Fournette

Fournette burst onto the scene as a rookie and looked like a potential star, but unfortunately, he never truly became that player. While he did carve out a solid NFL career, he was never a truly dominant force.

2016 - Dallas Cowboys - RB Ezekiel Elliott

Elliott never lived up to his college legacy, but he was an outstanding back for the Cowboys and continued to be one with the Patriots.

2015 - Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders - WR Amari Cooper

Cooper was a dynamic receiver who was a force throughout his NFL career. During his time in the league, he made it to five Pro Bowls and amassed over 10,000 yards receiving.

2014 - Buffalo Bills - WR Sammie Watkins

Watkins has developed into a solid wide receiver in the league, but he has never reached the stardom many expected when he left Clemson. He played in the NFL for nine years with five different franchises.

2013 - Philadelphia Eagles - OT Lane Johnson

Johnson was the anchor of the Eagles' offensive line for over a decade. A five-time All-Pro, Johnson was a Pro Bowl pick and one of the best tackles in this era.

2012 - Minnesota Vikings - OT Matt Kalil

Kalil was a solid offensive tackle who earned a Pro Bowl invite during his rookie season. Unfortunately, injuries derailed his career, and he never lived up to his draft status.

2011 - Cincinnati Bengals - WR A.J. Green

Green was a dominant force for the Bengals and was widely regarded as one of the best players in the NFL during his career, finishing with over 10,000 receiving yards and 70 touchdowns.

2010 - Washington Commanders - OT Trent Williams

Williams may still be the top left tackle in the NFL, and has widely been considered one of the best offensive tackles of this generation.
