Could the Iowa Hawkeyes call upon a former legend and bring back a name to the halls of Kinnick Stadium? One of the newest transfer portal entrants has ties to an Iowa legend and could come help the Hawkeyes at a dire position of need.
Eddie Kasper, who is the nephew of former Iowa great wide receiver Kevin Kasper, has entered the transfer portal after playing four seasons for the Iowa State Redbirds. The Redbirds made a magical run to the FCS National Championship before falling to Montana State in overtime.

Kasper, a product of Burlington, Wisconsin, attended Wheaton Academy High School in Wheaton, Illinois. Coming out of high school, he was an unranked wide receiver who blossomed once he got to Illinois State. Listed at 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, he carved out a role in their high-powered offense.
While a member of Illinois State, Eddie Kasper appeared in 41 games over four seasons, registering 137 receptions for 1,198 yards and three touchdowns. Kasper also returned punts for Illinois State, tallying 32 punt return attempts during his time with the Redbirds.
