The Tennessee Titans ended the 2025 regular season with a 41-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18.
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward had played every single offensive snap coming into this game, but was unable to complete the season that way after injuring his shoulder on his touchdown run. Initially, he was questionable to return before being downgraded to out, and later he could be seen on the sideline wearing a sling.

Veteran quarterback Brandon Allen would take over after the Jaguars scored on their next drive to tie the game. Even with all of his experience, Allen simply could not run the Titans' offense efficiently. The Titans' defense wasn't much help today, either. The new faces to start in the secondary showed effort and had some impact, but the defense as a whole had no answer for the Jags' offense.
Without Ward on the field, plus losing guards Corey Levin and Kevin Zeitler, the Titans' offense struggled to gain yardage, even when the defense forced a punt.
Let's take a look at the studs and duds (and studly duds) from this Week 18 matchup.
Stud: QB Cam Ward
Before he left with an injury, Ward continued to show us his growth as a quarterback. He made fast decisions, took off on runs when needed, and even scored a touchdown. He also makes the cut because the offense clearly could not function without him, showcasing that he is the Titans' next franchise quarterback. Now, they have to find ways to support him. Before exiting the game, Ward went 3-for-3 for 52 yards and one rushing touchdown on what might have been the best drive of the season. Through the third quarter, he still had more passing yards than Brandon Allen.

Dud: WR Elic Ayomanor
Yes, Ayomanor led the team in receiving yards today, but he was targeted ten times and caught just three passes. That means he caught only 30% of the passes thrown his way. That's simply not going to fly if he wants to keep his starting position next season.
Stud: RB Tyjae Spears
Spears was an essential part of the Titans' offense without Cam Ward. The passing game became a serious problem, especially after Brandon Allen threw an interception. Spears caught every pass that was thrown his way, he carried the ball three times for 18 yards, and he handled his blocking assignments well.

Dud: DE James Lynch
Without seeing the one tackle on his stat line, you wouldn't even know Lynch was on the field this week.
Stud: RB Tony Pollard
Pollard is always an essential part of the Titans' offense, but he was given a tall task when Ward left the game. He shouldered most of the burden, with some help from Spears. Pollard carried the ball 14 times for 45 yards and caught three passes for 17 yards. He was flagged for a hold, but overall, he was a positive force on the field today.
Dud: QB Brandon Allen
Let's face it, Allen was not ready to take up the mantle today. It's clear the Titans need a better backup plan for Cam Ward, because the entire team basically rolled over when Ward went down. The defense was impacted too, as if every bit of energy they had left was sucked right out of them. In the end, Allen went 17-for-30 for 72 yards and an interception, plus he took a sack.

Studly dud: DT Jeffery Simmons
Normally, Simmons is a high-impact player who has his hands in the mix on almost every down. Opponents often double or triple his blockers because he is freakishly fast for his size and strong as an ox. Today, though, Simmons recorded just two tackles (one solo), one sack, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit. Plus, he was responsible for two costly penalties, which isn't typical.
