Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is headed back to the postseason for the first time since the 2021 season, and has just received a massive incentive payout as an added bonus.
Following their 26–24 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18, the Steelers are the 2025 AFC North champions and have locked up a playoff spot this postseason — giving Rodgers $500,000 of $5.85 million in possible incentives.
Signing a one-year contract with Pittsburgh in June, Rodgers had six incentives tied into his contract: $500,000 if the Steelers made the playoffs, $600,000 with a wild-card round win, $750,000 with a divisional round win, $1 million with an AFC Championship win, and $1.5 million with a Super Bowl win. He can also earn another $1.5 million if he’s named AP MVP.

Considering his statistical output this season, it’s extremely unlikely Rodgers will see the $1.5 million tied to an MVP award, but Pittsburgh’s Week 18 win over Baltimore puts him on the doorstep of another massive payday if the Steelers can defeat the Houston Texans on Monday, January 12, at 8:00 p.m. EST.
