Steelers' Cam Heyward excited for DK Metcalf's return from suspension

It’s safe to say one player from the Pittsburgh Steelers is excited for the return of DK Metcalf in the wild-card round of the playoffs — veteran defensive tackle Cam Heyward.

Following the Week 18 victory over the Ravens, a giddy Heyward was captured on video via Sunday Night Football on NBC’s social media account, reminding everyone about Metcalf’s suspension set to expire heading into the postseason.

“We’re going to the playoffs,” Heyward said. “Guess what? We get DK back.”

Following Metcalf’s two-game suspension for getting physical with a Detroit Lions fan in Week 16, the Steelers struggled to find production out of their wide receivers, a major factor in their Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Luckily, Pittsburgh’s pass catchers stepped up in a huge way and positioned Metcalf to make his triumphant return against the Houston Texans on January 12, at 8:15 p.m. EST — clearly much to the excitement of Heyward and the rest of his teammates.
