On Saturday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide officially opened SEC basketball action inside Coleman Coliseum with a highly-anticipated showdown against the Kentucky Wildcats.
In the contest, Alabama started the game fast all-around, and eventually held a commanding 50-34 led at halftime. The Crimson Tide also carried over that success to the second half, and eventually opened SEC conference action with an impressive 89-74 win over Kentucky at home.

An overall strong showing for the Crimson Tide, Alabama shot 15-of-38 from three-point range, a big reason as to why they led for a vast majority of this contest. Alabama also outrebounded the Wildcats in all, 41-37, and were led by a stellar showing from guard Aden Holloway, who posted a game-high 26 points on 6-of-8 shooting from three-point range.
