The Seattle Seahawks are one of the top teams in the NFL this season, landing the NFC's number 1 seed, and it's thanks in large part to the incredible defense.

While the season isn't over yet, and there's still time for the offseason to come around, the Seahawks have a couple of big-name free agents to figure out. Kenneth Walker and Riq Woolen are two big names, but safety Coby Bryant is just as important.

According to a contract projection from Austin Gayle of The Ringer, Bryant's new deal this offseason could be a tricky one for Seattle to match.

Seahawks' Coby Bryant receives $17M contract projection

"Some big-name safeties have signed multiyear extensions over $20 million per year recently," Gayle writes, "... but I don't think Bryant is quite at that level. His market could be in the range of $13 milliton to $17 million per year..."

Even if Bryant doesn't land a $20 million per-year deal like top safeties Kyle Hamilton, Kerby Joseph, and Antoine Winfield Jr, he could still get a quality offer or two this offseason.

Landing a new deal in the $13 to $17 million range is not a bad number for Bryant. A 26-year-old defensive back who's turned into one of the better safeties in the league under Mike Macdonald, Bryant is in line for a solid payday.

Players like Amani Hooker ($13.5 million) and Trevon Moehrig ($17 million) are contracts to keep in mind for Seattle and Bryant this offseason.

But the big difference with Bryant and the other top free agents in Walker and Woolen is that the Seahawks have already expressed a desire to bring Bryant back.

The two sides had extension talks before the season, and while nothing's done yet, those talks could help make a free agent reunion a high likelihood this offseason. And if a deal gets done, Gayle projects it to land in the $13-$17 million per-year range.
