Saints Sign Eight Players To Reserve/Future Contracts

With the offseason officially here for the New Orleans Saints, the roster moves have begun for Mickey Loomis in preparation for the draft and training camp. The Saints signed eight players to reserve/future contracts. Some of these players have familiarity with New Orleans.

CB Dalys Beanum - 6'-1, 200 lbs, South Dakota State

The undrafted cornerback from South Dakota State was signed following the NFL draft. Beanum spent the season on the practice squad. The cornerback played five seasons in college and finished with 133 tackles, 12 interceptions, 25 PBUs, and a forced fumble.

CB Beanie Bishop Jr. - 5-10, 184 lbs, West Virginia

Bishop Jr has NFL experience with the Steelers. In 2024, the WVU CB started six games and finished with 39 tackles, four interceptions, seven PBUs, half a sack, and a fumble recovery. With the Steelers defensive additions in 2025, Bishop Jr was relegated to the practice squad for nine weeks before signing with the Saints practice squad in December.

In six collegiate seasons, Bishop Jr spent time in Western Kentucky, Minnesota, and WVU. His final season at West Virginia was his most successful earning first-team All Big 12 honors, but was just the second Mountaineer to be named All-American in 2023.

WR Elijah Cooks - 6-4, 215 lbs, San Jose State

The Saints added Cooks to their practice squad for the final three weeks after a stint with the Philadelphia Eagles. In 11 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cooks hauled in three passes for 38 yards. The wide receiver went undrafted in 2023 following six collegiate seasons at Nevada and SJSU. 2022 was his most successful season with an All-Mountain West selection.

S Elliott Davison - 6-0, 190 lbs, UTSA

Davison has no NFL experience and was signed as a free agent in 2025. The safety spent the season on New Orleans' practice squad. He did record a few tackles in three preseason games for the Saints.

DT Coziah Issard - 6-3, 305 lbs, Penn State

The former Nittany Lion recorded 78 tackles (40 solo), nine sacks and two forced fumbles in five seasons. Izzard spent the season the Saints practice squad after being signed by the Kansas City Chiefs.

T Easton Kilty - 6-6, 307 lbs, Kansas State

Kilty spent the season on the Saints practice squad after signing as an undrafted free agent. After spending time at the University of North Dakota, Kilty transferred to Kansas State and started all 13 games at left tackle, seeing time on 763 offensive snaps as he earned All-Big 12 second-team honors from the league's coaches, in addition to picking up votes for the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year award. Kilty led an offensive line unit that helped the Wildcats set school records in rushing yards per carry and offensive yards per play.

CB Jayden Price - 5-11, 185 lbs, North Dakota State

The Atlanta Falcons signed Price in 2024 and the cornerback spent 2025 on the Saints practice squad. The former Arlington Renegade of the UFL recorded 27 tackles, half a sack, and added close to 550 all-purpose return yards in the spring of 2025.

T Barry Wesley - 6-7, 310 lbs, Colorado State

Another player who initially signed with Atlanta in 2023, Wesley was active for one game in 2025 and spent the final four weeks on the Saints practice squad. Wesley is an XFL alum playing in five games for the Seattle Sea Dragons in 2023 with a UFL stint with the Birmingham Stallions playing in nine games at guard and tackle.
