The Thomas and Mack shook with cheers when Riley Webb secured his third tie-down roping world title in a row. But none were louder than Josie Conner or filled with more pride. Within a week the world champ was pushing calves for his partner at the Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway event in Arizona as she tied for first. It was his turn to cheer. The childhood sweethearts continue to be a power couple in roping—and now they will say “I do”.
Josie shared the exciting news on Instagram on New Year’s Eve, posting a story that showed off her new ring with the caption, “Ending 2025, starting forever.” And that forever is sure to be filled with plenty of gold buckles.

The year 2025 proved to be a productive one for both athletes. Riley not only finished the year as world champion, but also shattered his previous tie-down roping earnings record, amassing an incredible $555,543. He did so alongside his standout horse, Rudy, who earned his own prestigious honor as the 2025 Nutrena Tie-Down Roping Horse of the Year, presented by AQHA.
Riley was not the only one with a horse of the year. Josie got her own bronze on behalf of her 2025 Nutrena Breakaway Horse of the Year, Dutch. Since earning Rookie of the Year honors in 2022, Josie has yet to miss a National Breakaway Finals Rodeo. She wrapped up 2025 ranked second in the world, with total earnings of $179,099
Those who have the chance to meet these rodeo superstars often remark on how kind, humble, and genuine the young couple remains despite their success. As they look ahead to a new season, new goals, and a lifetime together, one thing is certain: Riley Webb and Josie Conner are champions both in and out of the arena.
Congratulations from all of us at Rodeo Roundtable!
