PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers welcomed some key pieces back to the floor in Wednesday's win over the Washington Wizards. They welcomed Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford back from injuries to have a completely healthy roster for the first time since December of 2023.
Oubre had not played since Nov. 14 due to a left knee sprain while Watford hadn't played since Nov. 25 due to a left adductor strain. Oubre played 20 minutes while Watford played five minutes and had three assists as he made his return to the floor.

"It was great to get out there a few minutes," Watford said after the win. "Get up and down, feel some 5-on-5 competition again. Some people were here when we (were) playing 3-on-3 a few days ago, but it feels great. Just to get back out there, feel healthy, and now it’s just continuing to get in shape and get my body back right."
It is a bit frustrating for somebody like Watford who missed the first handful of games of the season due to a left hamstring issue. He then had to miss time due to an adductor strain on the same side so it is an annoyance for him, but he is looking at the bright side of things.
"Yeah, it's frustrating, bro," he added. "Just human nature, but trying not to dwell on it, you know what I mean? Just trying to put things into perspective. Like, it could always be worse. I could have been out for the whole season. Just putting things in perspective. It could always be worse. So, just grateful to get back out and still be able to have a lot of the season left ahead of me."
The Sixers will need Watford to play a big role for this group. He is somebody who can do a variety of things out on the floor and can stuff the box score. His return is a big help for Philadelphia.
