Report: Significant changes not expected for Colts' coaching staff

4 days ago 1

Along with retaining GM Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen, the Indianapolis Colts are not expected to make significant staff changes this offseason, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

As of now, the Colts have to find a new defensive line coach with Charlie Partridge joining the Notre Dame coaching staff.

Colts' defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo is also interviewing for the head coaching openings with Tennessee and the New York Giants.

Fowler also notes that offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter could get looks as a play-calling offensive coordinator elsewhere. With the Colts, Steichen is the one calling the plays.

So, barring any coaches moving up in the coaching ranks elsewhere, the Colts' coaching staff should mostly remain the same.

Despite another missed postseason appearance for the Colts, the front office and coaching staff will have few changes. We will see how Ballard shapes the roster as we get deeper into the offseason.

Principal owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon believes that the success that the Colts had through the first half of this past season can be replicated in 2026.
