The Baltimore Ravens have made an official statement following the decision to part ways with head coach John Harbaugh, and one has to wonder how much of a role did the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 18 victory play in his departure.
On Tuesday, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti issued a statement, explaining the decision to relieve Harbaugh of his coaching duties while also citing the organization’s standard to compete for championships — expectations that clearly couldn’t be met following the Week 18 loss to Pittsburgh.
Harbaugh’s departure is the second head coach change in the division, as the Cleveland Browns also fired head coach Kevin Stefanski on Monday.

Truly the end of an era, fans will no longer be treated to the intense AFC North battles between Harbaugh and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. While speculation and reports suggested either team could have faced these head coach changes following a loss on Sunday Night Football, it was ultimately in Baltimore where the clock struck midnight.
