The Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Rams put on a show Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Somehow, the Falcons pulled off a 27-24 victory over a team that many considered to be the Super Bowl favorite. Bijan Robinson went off for over 220 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.

Rookie Xavier Watts came up with two of the team's three interception, and Jessie Bates III recorded a pick-six off of Matthew Stafford. The Rams nearly came back at the end, overcoming 21-point deficit to tie the game at 24 in the fourth quarter, but Atlanta held on for the win.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris commented on Monday night's win in his post-game press conference.

"Guys came to play tonight," said Morris. "Played hard. Played a really good football team. You know, that Rams football team is outstanding. They are well-coached, they play hard, and they have really good football players."

When asked about how big of a win this was for the Falcons, Morris downplayed it, but he said he models his team after the Rams.

"I've got a lot of respect for that organization. A lot of the things that we're doing and that we've done are modeling things that they've done."

Morris also praised Bates and Watts for their dominant performances in the secondary.

"Two game ball winners today," Morris said of the safety duo. "Jessie has been that way since he's been in the league -- touching the football, score points, make big-time plays. He did it today. And his young counterpart, Xavier Watts, has continued to show up throughout the course of the year and just get better and better and play at a very high level."
