Prep Roundup: Falkville boys overwhelm St. Bernard

Jan. 7—FALKVILLE — Cayden Butler led 11 Falkville scorers with 13 points as the Blue Devils rolled past St. Bernard 84-20 in boys basketball on Tuesday.

The game was never in doubt, as Falkville built a 21-8 lead after one quarter. The Blue Devils extended the lead to 41-8 at halftime after holding St. Bernard scoreless in the second quarter and led 66-14 after three quarters.

Landen Fields and Kai Lawrimore had 10 points each for Falkville, while Isaiah Brown, Logan Fowler and Landen Horton added nine points each.

Athens boys 56, Hartselle 47: Lakin Barnes led Athens with 16 points in a win on Tuesday.

Brayden Walker had 10 points for the Golden Eagles, and Newton Johnsey scored eight. Gray Bennich had 16 points for Hartselle, and Brady Stiles scored nine.

Hatton boys 47, Brooks 45: Tasean Love knocked down the game-winning 3-pointer to propel Hatton past Brooks on Tuesday.

Zairiyon Long had a team-high 11 points for the Hornets, while Keydric Bibbs added 10 points. Love and Quenderius Bolding each finished with nine points.

Miles Warren (20) and Parker Murks (10) each scored in double figures for Brooks.

East Limestone boys 72, Tanner 45: Charlie Eslick finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a win for East Limestone on Monday.

Coleby Davis had 14 points and seven steals for the Indians, while Lonnie Dunbar scored 10. Zay Sales scored nine points and Chris Fitts had six points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Falkville boys 65, Athens Bible School 60: Cayden Butler led three Falkville players in double figures with 18 points in a win on Monday.

Logan Fowler had 16 points for the Blue Devils, while Zak Jackson added 11 points. Luke Murrell poured in a game-high 30 points for Athens Bible and William Lovell scored 12.

Clements boys 64, Rogers 43: Jake Fleming led Clements with a game-high 23 points on Monday.

Grayson Borden added 16 points for the Colts, who led 32-19 at halftime.

Falkville boys 53, Lindsay Lane 47: Johnson led the Blue Devils with 15 points in a win on Saturday.

Eli Harris scored 14 points for Falkville, which led 27-21 at the half. Butler scored nine points and Fowler finished with eight.

Logan Vail (19), Jack Sherron (12) and Bryson McMullin (10) each scored in double figures for Lindsay Lane.

Arab boys 51, Brewer 40: Cale Smith led Brewer with 20 points in a game played on Saturday.

Hayden Caudle scored six points for the Patriots, while Jansen Brown and Bryson Emerson added five points each.

Hartselle girls 46, Athens 36: Brinley Sams scored a game-high 14 points to lead Hartselle on Tuesday.

Hannah Burks had 11 points for the Tigers, while Elsie Boyd scored 10. Cheyenne Battles led Athens with nine points and Nunu Benford scored seven.

Priceville girls 55, Brewer 40: Abby Langlois had a game-high 17 points to lead Priceville on Tuesday.

Madalynn Williams had 12 points and five steals for the Bulldogs, while Amidy Wilder finished with 10 rebounds. Hannah Morrison had 16 points for Brewer and Khloe Grandstaff scored 12.

East Limestone girls 57, Ardmore 49: Aria Cain scored a team-high 19 points for East Limestone on Tuesday.

Clements girls 56, Rogers 52: Keymoni Holloway scored a game-high 30 points to lead Clements on Monday.

East Limestone girls 53, Tanner 27: Kate Hovis had 16 points in a win for East Limestone on Monday.

Ava Tillery scored nine points for the Indians and Kailey Matthews scored seven points.

Clements girls 58, West Limestone 44: Holloway had a game-high 19 points in a win for Clements on Saturday.

Malone had 18 points for the Colts, while Jolie Williamson added 12 points. Raelee Campbell had 13 points for West Limestone.
