San Diego State safety Dwayne McDougle is entering the transfer portal. This was reported by CBSSports’ Matt Zenitz earlier this week.
McDougle was productive for Rob Aurich’s Aztec defense. He had four interceptions on the season, to go along with 51 tackles on the year. He also had three pass deflections and a fumble recovery. He most recently recorded seven tackles and an interception in the New Mexico Bowl against North Texas in December.

The Huskers need additional help at the safety position, and McDougle could provide it. He would immediately take over for DeShon Singleton, who is departing from the program this offseason.
He would also give Aurich familiarity with his defensive unit. The program has many gaps to address in the transfer portal this upcoming season. However, McDougall would be a solid start on a defensive unit that needs re-tinkering.
