The New England Patriots announced a couple of practice squad moves on Thursday. According to the team, they have re-signed offensive tackle Sebastian Gutierrez and released cornerback Miles Battle.
Gutierrez is returning after being released by the Patriots back in December. He spent most of the season on the Patriots' practice squad, so he is clearly familiar with the team.

The veteran offensive lineman entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Denver Broncos. He has also spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts.
Battle was promoted to the active roster in the Patriots' regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins. His opportunities this season have mostly come with him being used sparingly as a depth piece in the defensive backfield, but he was mostly used on special teams when he was on the field. He played in five games in total and had three tackles.
The Patriots are clearly shoring up their offensive line depth ahead of Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Right tackle Morgan Moses missed practice on Wednesday with an illness, but he was a full participant on Thursday.
