Midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, the Los Angeles Chargers were attempting a comeback while trailing the Denver Broncos 16-3.
Facing 4th-and-7 at Denver's 42-yard line, L.A. quarterback Trey Lance threw a pass to running back Kimani Vidal in the flat, who was quickly hit hard and tackled by cornerback Pat Surtain. The NFL's 2024 Defensive Player of the Year quickly celebrated by running downfield while flexing, and the Broncos went on to win 19-3.

“I think it was a pivotal down," Surtain said after the victory. "Obviously, he checked down to the flat. That’s my responsibility to come up and lay the boom. So that’s what I had to do to get off the field. I for sure could attest to that was probably my biggest hit in my career. I felt a little stinger after, but I’m good. I shook it off. But that was definitely one of my biggest hits.”
With the win, Denver secured the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the NFL playoffs. The Broncos will face the lowest advancing seed from the AFC -- either the Los Angeles Chargers (No. 7), Buffalo Bills (No. 6), Houston Texans (No. 5) or Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 4) -- on Jan. 17 or Jan. 18 in the divisional round of the playoffs.
